It was also felt that it would be beneficial to hold a flight planning evening, when procedures such as Flight Planning, filing a flight plan, and dealing with GAR forms together with Special Branch information would be fully discussed. It was also felt that it would be most beneficial if Pilots could try to make themselves available to members that have not previously been able to take part in such trips thereby giving as much exposure as possible to other members.

A discussion took place regarding grass runway’s and the suitability for training, it was felt that a major safety benefit would be obtained, and it was agreed that JF would write a letter to Geoff Kingston to enquire if a meeting could be arranged to discuss the possibility of creating a 400 metre in length adjacent to the existing  09  -  27 hard runway.
