February 2010 Sunday 7th February Tuesday 23rd February | Club Meeting 16:00 new ideas for 2010 please ! Visit to Manorbier Range organised by Jim Glenister You are all cordially invite to visit the Range at Manorbier on Tuesday 23rd February 2010 to see the kind of things that go on there and to partake in a flavour of the training that the soldiers undertake.
Please arrive at the Main Gate by 1330hrs, where I shall meet you.
Depending upon numbers (which are limited to about 20), the visit will entail a session on the Training Simulator where you can attempt to shoot down some aircraft and a visit to, and brief on, the work of the Range Control tower. The Range is planned to be active during the day and it is hoped that, weather permitting, the full range of activities will be taking place. Please remember that this is a military establishment and that you will need to remain escorted at all times and that no photographs are permitted. The tour should take around 2 hours.
The address of the Range is:
Air Defence Range Manorbier Tenby SA70 7SH
Direct Dial: 01834 870105
For those with Sat/Navs, the postcode brings you right to the Gate.
For those without, take the A4139 (from Pembroke towards Tenby or from Tenby towards Pembroke) and follow the signs towards the "Royal Artillery Range".
It would be helpful if you could indicate to me whether you intend to visit or not.
I look forward to seeing you next Tuesday.
Regards
